There are many ongoing volunteer opportunities with HUG. Neighbors and folks committed to food sovereignty are encouraged to get involved! Check out our programs page for group opportunities. Individuals can fill out a volunteer form here. We’ll get back to you with more information. You can always just show up for community work hours or any of our events.

HUG GRUB – Neighborhood Produce Distribution
Saturday: 7:30am to 10:30am – HUG Grub Harvest Shift (this shift harvests from all our gardens, rinses, and prepares produce for distribution)
Saturday: 12:00pm-4:00pm – Distribution Shift (this shift runs the HUG Grub Farm Stand)
August 18 — Neighborhood Party, Cooking Demo, & Fair Tradin’ Barter
November 1, 2, 3 – HUG Leadership Retreat

April 23rd – 2nd Annual Community Garden Summit – HUG will be presenting: Food Sovereignty – Developing Community and Neighborhood-Based Food Systems
This discussion is for people interested in learning about Hilltop Urban Gardens and our Urban Farm Network. Food is a basic human right and we’re working to build systems for our community(ies) to grow and distribute our own food. Come learn what we’re up to and be a part of the solution!
April 20th – Food Justice: A Conversation. This promises to be a great conversation. HUG will be talking about our efforts in developing community-based food systems. You should come!
